What to do if you don’t get into specialty training (plans B-Z)

Specialty training is a fiercely competitive process, and for many doctors (including myself), the journey is not always straightforward. With increasing bottlenecks in recruitment, a growing number of applicants will open their Oriel inbox to find an unsuccessful outcome.

If this happens, don’t panic. It’s easy to get caught up in the current doom and gloom, but taking a step back is essential. Not securing a training post in this cycle does not define your career or ability as a doctor.
