The MP behind the private members' bill to legalise assisted dying in England and Wales has delayed its return to the House of Commons until next month.

Labour MP Kim Leadbeater said the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill will now return on 16 May rather than 25 April for its report stage, which is expected to see MPs vote on further amendments that were agreed at committee stage.
