Bowel screening to be introduced for Lynch syndrome patients

Thousands of patients with Lynch syndrome are to be offered preventative screening on the NHS.

The genetic condition affects around 175,000 people in England, but only 5% of know they have it, and it raises their risk of cancers such as bowel, pancreatic and ovarian.
