Defibrillators delivered by drone ‘save lives’

Using drones to deliver automated external defibrillators to patients with suspected cardiac arrest is the “single most important factor in saving lives”, researchers say.

In Sweden, the Karolinska Institutet, Region Västra Götaland, SOS Alarm and the drone operator Everdrone, has tested sending out a drone with an AED at the same time as an ambulance is alerted.
