Devolved governments still to confirm GP pay increase

GPs in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are yet to hear whether their governments will honour the 6% pay uplift recommended by the Review Body on Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration.

England’s health secretary Wes Streeting said his department will fund this figure. But Northern Ireland health minister Mike Nesbitt warned that the country’s Department of Health may not be able to afford the DDRB amount.
