Doctor suspended for declaring driver fit for work without proper assessment

A doctor working for a telehealth company has been suspended from the medical register for 6 months after declaring a coach driver was safe to work without carrying out adequate checks.

Dr David Comisky was providing services for updoc, a digital platform which pledges “convenient” access to healthcare professionals, when asked to complete a letter saying a driver was fit to work.
