General practice improvement programme a ‘sticking plaster’

Plans to modernise general practice are no substitute for bigger budgets, said the Doctors’ Association UK (DAUK) as NHS England moves forward with the next phase of its national GP Improvement Programme (GPIP).

The 2-year scheme, part of the primary care recovery plan, was launched last year.
