GMC’s associate regulation plans ‘improved’ after negative feedback received in consultation

Some revisions to the plans to regulate physician associates and anaesthesia associates have been set out by the General Medical Council, after it received negative feedback in a public consultation.

The regulator said that its proposals had been “improved” by the comments in the questionnaire – which more than 3,000 people took part in, including around 2,000 doctors and 300 physician associates.
