GPs urged to highlight value of practice nurses in contract negotiations

Doctors are being encouraged to highlight the “worth” of general practice nurses, when discussing contractual arrangements with the government.

Labour’s forming nursing advisor Ann Keen, a district nurse by background and former health minister, explained her “plea” is for GPs to acknowledge “what we’re worth” as a key component of the primary care workforce.
