Health leader quits over 'unachievable' funding cuts

The head of an integrated care board has resigned over the “unacceptable consequences” of budget cuts.

Dr Sarah Wollaston, chair of NHS Devon, announced on X, formerly Twitter, that she did “not feel able to sign off on a further cut; elastic already stretched too far... no point promising the unachievable, especially if only achievable with unacceptable consequences”.
