Injured doctor refuses to leave Sudan without mother

A British doctor shot in the leg in Sudan has refused to leave the country without his mother, it was reported today.

The unnamed consultant is aged 67 and is being nursed in a family home in Khartoum with a “dwindling” supply of medicines, the Times reports.
