Many medical students consider ‘pausing or leaving course’ because of financial pressures

Many medical students in England are being “pushed into financial hardship” because of insufficient funding, the British Medical Association has warned.

The union has published a survey of more than 3,500 medical students in which more than four in ten (43%) said they have considered leaving or pausing their course because of financial pressures.
