Maternity staff in Leicester ‘pushed to the brink’

Two maternity units at Leicester’s hospitals have been given "inadequate" ratings for safety, after not always having “enough staff to keep women and babies safe”.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) said care had worsened at the units at Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester General Hospital since the last inspections.
