Medical associate could join GMC governing body from January

A medical associate professional could join the governing body of the General Medical Council for the first time next year after the regulator opened applications for new members.

Applicants are being asked to put themselves forward, with the GMC looking for one lay and one registrant member to join the governing body from January 2025.
