Metabolic syndrome link with earlier cardiovascular events

Metabolic syndrome places people at risk of serious cardiovascular events at an earlier age than people who are in good health, a conference has heard.

Adults in middle age who have three or more unhealthy traits risk suffering myocardial infarction or stroke two years earlier than their healthier peers, Swedish research has found.
