Misdiagnosis by ‘unsupervised’ PA led to patient’s death, coroner concludes

A woman has died after being misdiagnosed by a physician associate who was not under “direct medical supervision”, a coroner has concluded.

Pamela Marking was admitted to the emergency department at East Surrey Hospital on 16 February last year, vomiting blood and with right sided and suprapubic abdominal tenderness.
