New MRI scan ‘rapidly reveals’ effectiveness of ovarian cancer treatment

A new type of MRI scan developed in the UK can predict the response of ovarian cancer tumours to treatment and “rapidly reveal” how well the treatment has worked, according to a study.

The technique, called hyperpolarised carbon-13 imaging, has been developed at the University of Cambridge.
