NHS apologises to family of doctor who killed herself

The family of a doctor who took her own life after she was wrongly told she needed to do further training has received an unreserved apology from NHS England.

Dr Vaish Kumar, who was 35 and a senior trainee, had to stay at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital as a result of the mistake.
