NHS ‘sincerely apologises’ for doctors' pension statement errors

The NHS has apologised after a union claimed that hundreds of doctors received inaccurate pension savings statements in the run up to the tax return deadline.

The British Medical Association said that at least 757 doctors have received inaccurate statements for 2023/24, potentially preventing them from completing self-assessment tax returns before the 31 January deadline.
