Number of ethnic minority doctors surpasses white doctors for the first time

The number of ethnic minority doctors in the UK is now higher than that of white doctors for the first time, according to the General Medical Council’s latest workforce report.

This is linked to large numbers of ethnic minority non-UK graduates joining the workforce since 2016.
