Regulation of PAs and AAs ‘already raising standards’, GMC tells Leng review

The regulation of physician associates and anaesthesia associates is “already beginning to raise standards of practice”, the General Medical Council has told the independent review into the roles.

The regulator made the claim in its published submission to the Leng review, which is assessing the safety of the PA and AA roles and their contribution to multidisciplinary healthcare teams in England.
