Shingles vaccine can delay onset of dementia – study

The shingles vaccine given to people on the NHS could delay the onset of dementia, according to a new study.

The finding – which experts say is “convincing” – shows the Shingrix vaccine is linked to a at least a 17% drop in dementia diagnoses in the 6 years after vaccination than the previously-used Zostavax jab.
