Six in ten job-seeking GPs ‘struggling to find a vacancy’

Six out of ten GPs who are looking for work have struggled to find a job in the last year, according to a poll by the Royal College of General Practitioners.

The survey of over 2,000 RCGP members across the UK found 61% who had looked for a role in the NHS over the last year had found it “moderately difficult” or “very difficult” to find an appropriate vacancy to apply for, (72% amongst GPs in training).
