Updates on diphtheria outbreaks in Europe

Many European countries have experienced outbreaks of diphtheria, most of which were linked to incoming migrants, a conference has heard.

Delegates at the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) annual meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark, heard from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), which has two abstracts and posters at the meeting.
