Wide health potential for diabetes and weight loss jabs – research

Modern injectable diabetes and weight loss drugs may bring a range of health benefits beyond glucose and weight control, such as a lower risk of kidney disease, several types of cancer, osteoarthritis, anxiety and depression, according to a metabolism researcher in Canada.

Dr Daniel Drucker, professor of medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, believes GLP-1 agonist drugs including semaglutide, sold as Wegovy, and tirzepatide, sold as Mounjaro, may act via reducing systemic inflammation.
