Write off NHS doctors' student loans to retain staff, says report

Doctors’ student loans should be written off if they continue working for the NHS – is one of the recommendations of a report on healthcare reform.

The Times Health Commission report [pdf], published on Monday, suggests debt should be cut by 30 per cent for those staying three years, 70 per cent for seven years and 100 per cent for ten.
